PATSSI VALDEZ

 



Patricia Correia Publising is proud to present Patssi Valdez in a series of Fine Art Digital Prints.

Extoled as a major Latin American icon, Valdez' work has received international recognition.  Recent exhibitions include a one woman exhibit at the Laguna Art Museum, the Mexican Museum of Art in San Francisco and the San Jose Museum of Art.  She was also invited to participate in a traveling exhibition, "Treasures to Go", hosted by the National Museum of American Art, Smithsonian Institution which is featuring American artists from the eighteenth through twentieth centuries.  Her artistic gifts extend to other areas as well. She was the Art Director for the Francis Ford Coppolla film, "Mi Familia" and "Luminaria".

Most recently Valdez has been honored as "Woman of the Year" by KCET TV.

Valdez is the recipient of a 2002 Flintridge Foundation Grant, a 1999 Durfee Grant, a J. Paul Getty Fellowship a National Endowment for the Arts grant in both 1994 and 1989.  Valdez was also awarded "Woman of the Year" by Latina Magazine in 1999.  In 2002 Valdez  will be included in an exhibtion at the San Antonio Museum of Art in Texas.
